Attaining 100 Years of Service

Our company launched its business in step with the economic growth of Japan from the truck (land) transport industry.

Continuing to meet the rigid demands of distribution had its start from diverse economic times and social conditions. A lifeline of supporting distribution needs for customers pushed through hardships associated to the oil crisis, global recession and the bubble economy.

Until now, the backing of domestic transportation and logistics, cultivated in main force, has activated our supply chain presence in Asia and now serves as a bridge to assign challenges for a greater global market reach.Because of the rapid pace of change occurring in our time, our company is taking bold steps to face new challenges to reclaim new markets and new territory.

Though stable growth performance has been achieved, what will be required of us to maintain our business for the next 100 years and beyond?

Hiring talented people brings up two important points for consideration: One, what kind of person is necessary for our future, and; two, how will this person be raised within our company.

My plan to steer future growth of our company will fall into my three “K” vision.

Talented Employee, Person of High Potential, Normal Worker, Worker of No Potential, Useless Worker

NEXUS Group has a variety of jobs.Whether or not you choose to be that driver, service manager, warehouse manager, system engineer, business manager or high-level manager, NEXUS hopes to build and retain your talent for the new challenges of the future.

Do you know of the 2-6-2 principle? General representation of the type of employee in a given organization may be separated by 3 different types each represented by 2 for 20%, 6 for 60% and 2 for 20%. The first 20% is representative of the leadership of a company, the middle 60% of the workforce handles the operation of the company, and the last 20% is said to be an unproductive representation of the company. Our company strives to balance the ratios out to 3-6-1 or 3-7-0. As I watch and observe employees in our company deal with all the various aspects of our distribution tasks, I come to realize that most of our employees fall into the category of people with high potential.

After acceptance as a new employee, an assignment to a distribution section introduces a plethora of tasks to learn and experience the core business of our company. Employees demonstrating ability to perform work and potential to grow will find opportunities to move to other positions within our company.
Characteristically speaking, our outlook of human resource movement has flexible qualities helping people to grow their potential. A dramatic job transfer occurred with a registered Customs Clearance from truck driver, and with warehousing operator who showed potential to perform a job at our overseas office. Regardless of one’s educational background, age or sex, potential to perform a job is an important decision factor.

Face problems head-on and engage work that you like to do, regardless of the occasional mistake. A mind for working through hardships and proactively seeking solutions will ensure a place and successful experience at the NEXUS Group.

Everything is based on your own will and attitude towards the job

What is your value? Decide this for yourself. In your hands, you have an obligation to handle an object of freight, in your mind you may consider what the receiving party thinks about you, your service, your delivery, your efficiency whilst you’re making that delivery. All thoughts, considerations and delivery points connect with one another to provide value in a distribution chain.

NEXUS Group pursues this value.Delivering value to our customer accompanies hardships and setbacks along the way. The sense of accomplishment and value provided to the customer is a compilation of the experiences of hardships and setbacks that give way to value, and ultimately extends to the communities that we serve.
